I recently saw the Dalai Lama. I was fortunate and knew it and went because of my own curiosity and respect. I've read one of his books and have admired his work from afar. Other than that, I didn't really know what to expect.

What I didn't expect was that I would learn something about fatherhood from a man with no children. I wrote something about this at the time on my blog:

I suppose a true spiritual leader should be able to speak to all aspects of life. I found this leader to be true in every sense of the word.
