Notwithstanding the fear mongers we should remember that we need enough food and supplies to assist any other neighbors that become needy due for any reason. Neighborhood watch groups are good as it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other. In our neighborhood we have an annual street BBQ that lets us mingle and get to know each other. Also I usually get to have our Missionaries bless the food.
