Good article from the LA Times on the liturgy for same-sex couples.

I'm surprised there isn't more discussion on this (or are people trying to avoid talking about gay issues?)

It passed overwhelmingly in both houses.  It will be effective Dec. 2nd.  The bishop must approve it for their diocese.  Priests and Deacons also have the right to refuse to participate even if the Bishop has allowed it.

I think it's a great thing  not much more for me to say really.

There's been lots of discussion about this issue for a considerable period of time.  The "Gay Issue" has been on the front burner, hot and boiling,  for the past thirty years.

My pterygoidal muscles, after many doses of antiinflammatory drugs and periods of rest and relaxation are, at last, no longer painful.

As the article points out, this is not a marriage rite.  The Church is only allowed to perform , witness, and bless a state sanctioned "marriage" where it is allowed by the State, to do so.

The Church has rites to bless a kitchen, a bathroom, bedroom, dogs, organs, fields; why not people.

Excellent outreach to homosexuals, guys, the Southern Baptists should send you theirs.

For those who have faith, no explanation is neccessary.
For those who have no faith, no explanation is possible.

I think it's because there's no great surprise in it.  It's all we've heard about.  What would be a great surprise is if they get anything else done.

The ones hidin' in the closets, Dutch! That's why good Baptists have amoires!

Furthermore, why shoot gays when they can send them your way? Bullets cost money!
