Dr. Daniel Peterson is referring to his counterpart Dr. Scratch. They have been trading jabs back and forth for years. Unfortunately, it is a partnership that Dr. Peterson does not want to be part of and so his recourse is to respond like in the article. Dr. Scratch's latest peeve was that Dr. Peterson said he had a dislike for Angela Lansbury, who recently passed away. This lead Dr. Scratch to question whether such a dislike was part of some much greater misogynistic trend in Mormon apologetics. That in a nutshell has been what their exchanges have been like since about 2005. Kick, parry and thrust, followed by counter-kick, parry and thrust.
