Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame. -- 1Cor. 15:34, NIV Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. -- 1Jn 3:4,NIV His (Paul's) letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. -- 2Peter 3:16-17, NIV Who handed Jacob over to become loot, and Israel to the plunderers? Was it not the LORD, against whom we have sinned? For they would not follow his ways (Rom 11:33; Rev 15:3) ; they did not obey his law (Rom 8:7-8) . -- Isaiah 42:24, NIV |

There may be a big difference in how we see how sin affects human nature. The Natural man cannot stop sinning, nor can he believe the Gospel unless God in His Sovereign Grace. Sin has totally enslaved the human will, there is no free will among the lost, even his prayer, church attendance and Bible reading is sin in God's sight. The Baptist Church supposedly preaches the Gospel of Grace, we are saved by Grace and kept by Grace, I caution against the performance based tone of the OP.
For those who have faith, no explanation is neccessary.
For those who have no faith, no explanation is possible. St. Thomas Aquinas If one turns his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer is an abomination. Proverbs 28:9 |
