WIth the same-sex marriage debate, can there be any middle or 'third' position?

Many Christians are conflicted over the same sex marriage debate, and over many issues relating to human sexuality and their church.
Civil same sex marriage will inevitably become a reality across the USA, in the UK, Canada (already is) and many, many other countries. Its naive to think otherwise. The Bible points to a great many things that humans do individually and corporately that we should not do. Homosexual activity is just one of those things. Can a person be for gay rights, protection of gay people, and even for civil gay marriage whilst being against it within their Church? What would you say to one who espouses this? Would you say they are being inconstant Or is this a viewpoint which can be justified? |
