Did your church do anything special on this day?

Our church service was pretty unfocused -- the leader of our Worship Committee has been ill and that group hasn't been hitting on all sixes lately, we just had a death in our church family this weekend that's left everyone very sad, and our organist is out of the we were barely able to cobble together a service at all, let alone a festival service. But our Sunday School kids came through by gifting us all with little paper flames bearing the words, "Share the story of Jesus."

We had a great Festival Service. The altar included flames, the processional included streamers, etc. The sermon was relevant. We had a "birthday party" for the church outdoors afterward with cake, coffee, etc.

Learned today how important for the church to make noise wherever it is.

Also learned how effective three minute speeches can be.
