A lot of people have marched across the pages of Baptist History in the past 100 years.  Jerry Falwell, Adrian Rogers, Charles Stanley and Billy Graham on one hand;
Adam Clayton Powell, Martin Luther King and Jesse Jackson  on the other.
All these men were and still are ministers in the Baptist Church.
 It can be said there is a broad diversity in the Baptist Church in social and political matters.
