Hi  everyone,

We are into the second week of Advent, and I wish you all a very blessed season.  I've been laying low with a bad cold, but hope to deepen my prayer life this Advent.

I do try to pray the hours, and hope to be more faithful.  I am also reading Isaiah with the footnotes.  I will pull up the "O Antiphons" in the Cloisters--which has become more a prayer room, but please post any comments or discussion in either place.

Welcome back,

I sure do agree that commercialism has gotten way out of hand.  I do love the joy and fellowship of Christmas time and I love the lights and decorations (including a nativity scene, of course), but the obsession with gifts really is a big downer.  I do buy for the grandkids, but very little else.

I am still praying the hours and reading Isaiah.  Are you doing anything spicial?
