This election is about more than electing a president. We are choosing the kind of America we will live in today -- and the kind of America we will leave our children tomorrow.
Mitt Romney has a vision for America. It is an America driven by a growing middle class. An America that lets free enterprise work. An America where education, hard work, and living within our means are valued and rewarded.
And that's exactly what we can expect America to be under President Romney. As a trusted supporter, you deserve to be the first to see our latest TV ad outlining President Romney's agenda on day one.
While there's much to be done, there's simply no time to waste on approving the Keystone Pipeline, introducing tax cuts for job creators, and replacing Obamacare.
Many Americans have given up on this President, but they've never thought about giving up. Not on themselves. Not on each other. We can put these last few years of disappointment and decline behind us.
We can restore America's greatness -- beginning on day one with President Romney. Your support will help make that a reality.
On Saturday, prior to the dedication of the Kansas City Missouri Temple, more than 3,000 Latter-day Saint youth performed in a cultural celebration titled, "Of One Heart in the Heartland" to recount the history of the area through song and dance.
Prior to the dedication, President Thomas S. Monson sealed the temple cornerstone, a tradition marking the end of construction and the beginning of the sacred work inside the Temple. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Elders William R. Walker and Donald L. Hallstrom of the Seventy accompanied President Monson during the weekend's events.
The purpose of a Temple dedication ceremony is to set aside the building for the work of God. President Monson said this “stately and magnificent Temple in the lovely part of the country, really the heartland of America ... will shine as a beacon of righteousness to all who will follow it's light; the light of the gospel, the light of the Saviour.”
The new Temple is the LDS Church's 137th temple worldwide, the 67th in the United States and second in Missouri. It will serve some 45,000 Latter-day Saints in 126 congregations throughout Kansas, Missouri and small portions of Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Last month, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints acquired more historical properties, including the Joseph Smith Sr. home in Kirtland Ohio. Haun's Mill, the old Far West Burying Ground in Northwestern Missouri, and six thousand acres of farmland several miles south of the new Kansas City Temple.
Today, Romney for President released a new web video titled “Missouri: Stand with Mitt.” Tomorrow, Missouri voters will have a chance to take a step toward changing the direction of the US by supporting Mitt Romney.
While Rick Santorum was taking his victory lap after Alabama and Mississippi, Mitt was winning the nomination battle by gaining at least 41 delegates to Santorum's 35 for the day.
Yet again, yesterday's results increased Mitt's delegate lead while his opponents moved closer to their date of mathematical elimination. Mitt now has twice the number of delegates and over one million more votes than Rick Santorum in the GOP primary contests to date.
Here's some delegate math that is hard to swallow for Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich:
Newt Gingrich is 373 delegates behind Mitt Romney. And Rick Santorum is 255 delegates behind Mitt Romney. That means both Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich will have to start netting an impossible number of delegates to catch up and overtake Mitt's lead.
Of the remaining delegates, Rick Santorum must win 69% to reach 1,144 delegates. Those prospects look nearly impossible when you consider he has only won 26% of the delegates awarded to date.
Mitt has received more votes and more delegates in the Southern states than any other candidate. And that's without including Virginia, where both Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich failed to qualify for the ballot.
Over the last few weeks, Mitt has expanded his delegate lead, pushing him closer to the nomination.
Mitt remains focused on the most pressing issue of this election -- defeating Barack Obama and restoring America's promise.
Former Mass. governor Mitt Romney has won the Republican presidential caucus in American Samoa, picking up all nine delegates. LDS are in the majority in American Samoa.
March 10, 2012 Mitt Romney made the following statement on winning the majority of the national delegates selected at Wyoming’s County Conventions:
“I am delighted to have won the support of seven of the twelve national delegates selected at Wyoming’s County Conventions. Our campaign is on the move and today's victories in the island territories bring us one step closer to defeating President Obama and restoring American's promise. I am grateful to our extraordinary supporters in Wyoming and look forward to sharing my message of more jobs, less debt and smaller government with voters across the nation.”

Mitt Romney made the following statement on winning the support of 7 of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ 9 delegates:
“I am delighted to have won the support of 7 of the Virgin Islands’ 9 National Convention Delegates. The message from the people of the Virgin Islands is clear, and it’s the same message I hear all over the country. They do not want to send a career politician to Washington. Rather, they want to send a career businessman. I’ve spent my life turning around failing businesses and helping to start new ones. Our country badly needs a turnaround. Now, thanks to the backing of the good people of the Virgin Islands, we’re one step closer to our goal of recapturing the White House and putting America back on track.
“In particular, I want to thank Senator Holland Redfield, USVI National Committeeman, Lilliana Belardo, USVI National Committeewoman, and Herb Schoenbohm, Chairman of the USVI Republican State Committee, for their support and for organizing today’s caucus.”

Mitt Romney made the following statement on the results of the caucuses in Kansas:
“I congratulate my fellow candidates who competed in the Kansas caucuses. I am pleased that Kansans joined voters around the country in supporting my candidacy. The road to the Republican nomination has already had twists and turns and no doubt there will be more to come. We should want nothing less when deciding the next occupant of the White House. But I have no doubt that with the progress I’ve made today that I will be the Republican Party’s presidential nominee. I thank all the voters who participated in the Kansas caucuses and look forward to winning Kansas in November.”
Mitt Romney made the following statement on winning all 9 delegates in the Northern Mariana Islands:
“The Northern Mariana Islands may be far away from the mainland, but one of the great things about our democracy is that every voice has a chance to be heard in selecting a presidential candidate. Now the voters of the Northern Mariana Islands—nearly 8,000 miles from Washington, D.C.—have spoken. And what they’ve said today is that they want to bring change to their beautiful islands by bringing change to our nation’s capital. My son Matt told me about his visit to Saipan and the warm reception he received, and I am honored and delighted to have the support of all nine of the CNMI’s delegates.”
Just last week, I emailed you about the billion dollar Obama machine taking its "kill Romney" campaign to Michigan. Now their shameful desperation has reached a new low. The DNC and President Obama's liberal allies are now urging Michigan Democrats to vote for Rick Santorum in the state's open primary on Tuesday.
They have spent the last few months savagely attacking Mitt Romney's conservative record. But this is a new low. President Obama's reelection team is now actively engaged in changing the outcome of the Republican primary. This is politics at its worst. It doesn't get much more pathetic.
The Democrats are proving yet again that they will say, spend, and do anything to avoid facing Mitt in the general election. They rightfully recognize that President Obama's record is so abysmal that the only way to continue their grasp on power is by making sure Mitt Romney is not the Republican nominee. It's up to us to make President Obama's greatest nightmare a reality, and fight back against the Democrats' dirty tactics.
March 9, 2012 Mitt Romney tonight made the following statement on winning all 9 delegates in Guam:
“I am grateful to have won all nine delegates in Guam, and I am pleased that my son Matt was able to visit the island on my behalf and be there for the caucuses. The people of Guam have always stood bravely for America and the values we hold dear. Today we stand together in our efforts to secure the future that this nation deserves. I am honored to have won the Guam caucuses, an important milestone in my quest to restore America to the principles and practices that made us great.”
Whether you voted, made phone calls to friends or strangers, volunteered at events, attended a rally, donated to the campaign, or shared our message on Facebook -- thank you.
This marks an important moment in this election. We are moving forward with momentum and a clear message to the American people: more jobs, less debt, smaller government. And it's this message that will help us defeat President Obama in November.
But make no mistake, this campaign is about more than replacing a President. It's about restoring America's promise.
We still believe in the hope, the dream, and the promise of America -- that our future is better and brighter than these troubled times. This conviction guides our campaign and rallies millions to our cause. And it's the message we took to these 10 states today and will continue to take to every corner of the country tomorrow.
This is our time for choosing. Today, hundreds of thousands of Americans joined our fight to restore American greatness. Tomorrow, we go back to work.
Help me fight for the country we love -- Thanks for your support,
