Hi to all UCCers,

I'm writing from Montréal, Québec. I'm a member of the United Church of Canada, in the Montréal's only French-speaking congregation. I think our churches have more than a lot in common. I have a great respect for the United Church of Christ and its historic progressive stance on many subjects.

Born Catholic, as almost every French Canadian, I've decided in 2001 to change to Mainline/Liberal Protestantism. Nobody does this here in French-speaking Québec: or you're a nominal Catholic like everybody, or you're "no religion". For historical reasons, religion is not well seen in the Belle Province. And Protestantism is seen as the religion of "les Anglais".

If I were American, I would definitely want to be a member of your church.

So, I just wanted to say HI !

Hello, it's nice to meet you. I live about 50 miles south of you. Laughing

Namaste.
