Does anyone besides me have the feeling that Roman Catholicism (at least in the U.S.A) is fast-becoming a one-issue Church? Not literally, of course. But as far as the Catholic Bishops and their "Amen Choir" are concerned, does any issue other than abortion really matter? ........ Over what other issue would the Bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph, MO strongly suggest that any Catholic who would vote for Obama for President endangers their immortal soul?
No doubt some of the RC Bishops would like us to become a one issue Church, but those are mostly politicians and I don't think most Catholics pay serious attention to them.
Most Catholics are not pro-abortion and recognize that it isn't simply saying one is pro life that makes one a disciple of Christ.
