Your post reminds me of myself forty some years ago. You couldn't find someone more hateful of Calvinism. When I first became aware of what it taught, I couldn't find the words to condemn it. It was illogical and sickening. However, I happened to wander into a church one day where I did not usually attend and I heard expository messages on the Gospel of John. I started afresh looking into this unsavory teaching, and now some forty-two years later, I not only embrace all five points of Calvinism, I've been called of God to preach and I have been doing that for a number of years. I also teach it in seminary. Never underestimate the power of what God's Word can do to someone like you. |

Hello fellow Christians, These 5 points, especially as explained by R.C. Sproul, take a while to fully understand and embrace. But they are crucial to our faith and we should take the time and effort to learn them. Speaking for myself, I first found them to be harsh, and difficult to accept, but when the Holy Spirit made them clear to me, I was blessed beyond words. |
