Latest news regarding the ABC's trip through India is his engagement with notable Hindu theologians and swamis on ecumenical dialogue.  I find this fascinating; must be my Karma. Wink

My sources tell me that ABC Williams' trip to India has been a real trip.

His "third eye" has been opened; he's experienced Universal Oneness; he's appropriated a new look to reflect his new outlook.

100% Universalist here.

Yet another story of a fundamentalist pastor confronting his inherited understanding of the doctrine of hell and a damning, angry, vindictive God.

The article's thesis is that the mainline denoms have stopped selling tickets on the hell-bound express, so the need for a separate Universalist Church is removed.  Makes sense, eh what ?

Jim,

I don't believe that everybody will be granted eternal salvation against their will and against their perseverence in rejection of divine love.

What I do say is that God never closes the door to eternal salvation.  That is a big difference.  I believe that God's Love and our willing subjection to restorative & rehabilitative purgation will, with the individual's compliance with the aforementioned, keep that door open for the individual.  This holds true for John Jones, Mary Smith, Adolph Hitler, Joe Stalin, Pol Pot ---

maybe even my 1/2 @$$'d sister - in - law.

Is Billy Graham now a Universalist?

"Graham stated: “Everybody who loves Christ or knows Christ, whether they are conscious of it or not, are members of the Body of Christ. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their heart that they need something ... and they turn to the only light that they have and I think that they are saved and ... they are going to be with us in heaven.”
