I claim to be a follower of Christ, although not a very good one. While having a little 'debate' with a friend, he brought up John 14:12, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father. If you were on trial, would you be convicted of being a Christian? Would I? Even the heathen feed the poor and pursue good works. I guess my point is, what evidence do you have that Christ dwells within in you, evidence that can only be explained by the presence of Christ?

Before I came to the Lord, I helped the sick, poor and hopeless. When I came to Christ, I did and still do the same. The only difference is, I feel him through/in me everyday. When I give/help others, I don't do it just to do it and or hope I gain something in return. Like I once did. Now I feel touch and Led By The Lord. I do not expect anything back! |
