For years now, a "rule of thumb" is that websites offering pornographic material are havens for viruses, malware, and other internet demons. Now, however, Symantec (the makers of the Norton family of anti-virus programs) states that church websites are often more dangerous that adult sites; the web masters of the adult sites often take the time and money to put security protocols in place, while church websites are often just hastily slapped together and left to tend to themselves. What a world, eh? |
