Well it seems that this is the subject everyone loves to hate its a deep study so many do not want to delve into it, and many others do not want the discussion to go forward. But why not look into a sincere study into what JESUS said about it.

KIND- First, Christ said that not even HE knew the time of the end---that this is in the hands and heart of Our Father ONLY---so everyone who pretends to "know" otherwise is routinely humbled and humiliated, their followers shamed and impoverished(usually, unless they wisely hedged their bets and did NOT sell/give away all their stuff, which would be a clear indication of lack of faith on their part, no?). Warmest regards- Hatman

"Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again" is the standard, historical Christian declaration regarding the end of all things, and you're skating on very thin ice indeed if you try to get into the specifics of how that's going to happen. The Book of Revelation is NOT a blueprint for the end of the world, and wasn't intended to be one. Craig Koester's "Revelation and the End of All Things" (Augsburg Fortress) is a good, layperson-friendly explanation of the Book of Revelation, and reflects the mainstream/mainline Christian understanding of the Book of Revelation. Meanwhile -- as Martin Luther once noted, "[Even] if I knew the world would end tomorrow -- I'd plant an apple tree today." Instead of obsessing about Revelation (and about people who don't share your eschatological theology), how about spending your time loving and helping your neighbors? Seems that there's enough to do there to keep all of us busy until Jesus returns. |

Well some like to quote others I Like to quote scripture, but you know i really liked all the comments, Christ acknowledged that no one knew the day or the hour, but there is scripture that encourages us to live as if he would return tomorrow, there are many that have not a saving knowledge of Jesus so if we hide him under a barrel they may not ever, scripture lets us know that if someone is lost, and we knew them and never warned them, their blood could be required of us. One of the last things Jesus did after praying for the 12 disciples was to pray for those of us who would not have seen him, but would come to serve him because of their testimonies. I like reading that chapter and verse, seems he was thinking forward even then, and the scriptures where he does speak of the end times, heChristian chat room, but if we are afraid or not willing to discuss something as important as eternity, and the rapture, and tribulation, and *Jesus Soon return. I like saying it, cuz then it does not give me and excuse for not living my best life yet. Dont want to wait until on my death bed to prepare. And once there was a coworker that told me that he knew the plan of salvation and therefore he would accept Christ on his death bed. Within a month a friend of his died at a plant in muskegon michigan where he was a security guard, where they had a fumes leak that was lethal, his friend had no clue he was dying because the gas did not have an odor, and was not detected. After this I didnt seek the coworker, because I had no clue if he knew the person, had read about it in the MUSKEGON CHRONICAL, BUT he came to me and asked me to go over the plan of salvation with him. The idea, that he might be in a coma or have a stroke, or unconscious prior to death and not have the ability to ask to receive JESUS into his heart became a reality to him. MY FAVORITE tract was HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE FOUR SPIRITUAL LAWS ITS ON THE INTERNET, SO IT CAN BE LOOKED UP.(www.thefourspirituallaws.com) or .org. Also in the book of JAMES, 5TH chapter last verse, it says that he who saves a soul, covers a multitude of sins. Faith without works is dead. We are not saved by works but after becoming saved you do I Think scripture indicates have a desire to witness to others. I started using this when in college as a member of Campus Crusade for Christ, and it covers a lot and then in the end you can invite the individual to respond if they wish. But after a coworker had a brother who was driving a car, and was in a serious car accident, and his friend who was in the passenger seat was killed, and she asked me to share Christ with him. He was interested after the lost of his friend. Many times Christians do not want to talk about the subject of where do you plan on spending eternity, because they have been made to feel ashamed of their faith, sometimes by college professors or collegues. But maybe there is someone who is searching beliefnet, and wants to know what the bible says, and why JESUS will be returning, the purpose of his return, the tribulation period, Many pastors and other believers shy away from these topics, but there is a Good film that was made surrounding the Left behind regarding End times by Tim lahaye and partner, series, and one of the people left behind after the rapture was the pastor. Then its embarrassing sometimes when someone announces and exact date as we have seen by someone recently when his first date was incorrect then he announced another date either he has not read scripture about specifying an exact date, or perhaps he wants others to get in a state of readiness. Now that is a reason because we have many who are not walking right , living right according to the word, so maybe on hearing this they decide to get in a state of readiness. But nowhere do I read the subject should not be discussed. JESUS CERTAINLY DISCUSSED IT And in MATTHEW 24 AND 25. Also in other books. Yes its important to know if you are a reflection of Christ, and to Check your walk or how you are running this race, But i like the song that says follow me as I follow Christ,if you read the word, and not the lives of other people, then you have no excuse for missing his return.

Thats something i believe they say in a cadence at the Catholic Mass, but its paraphasing scripture and putting it like the word is the same today yesterday and forever. But that is in a scripture verse. He is coming again, and thats why it should be more then just a chant, but it should be revealed in our lives, and our concern for those who dont know him. The book of revelations and Christs discussions in his sermons, explain why we should live as if that is true. But there is a lot more to learn like why you might not want to be left behind and there was even a Pastor in a TBN Praise the LORD BROADCAST THAT UNLIKE LAHaye who believes that the rapture will not occur before the seven year tribulation period, and if that is true, then thats even more reason to understand what the book of revelation describes because if all of the body of Christ, on the earth, have to live thru this period, and not take the mark of the beast the 666, in order to not forfeit their chance of entering Gods kingdom, that will be a great difficulty because in order to buy food and clothing or even to sell will be something only those who are in the influence of the anti-christ will be able to survive. Unless believers in advance make some type of preparation insuring storage of foods and other items, and even places to live and hide possible something those who if the rapture comes first will not have to be a consideration for, unless you are left behind. The chanting of that phrase we already know what has happened, THRU THE BIBLE WE ALREADY KNOW, WHAT HAPPENED when JESUS DIED, AND WHEN HE AROSE, IT IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN HE RETURNS, AND the knowledge of this is not going to come thru osmosis, but thru the reading and comprehension of the word of God, as to what we can expect. Perhaps the person who set a date and has pushed it forward has BEEN such and embarrassedto the church that any realistic studies have been discontinued, and true further comprehension is being avoided. And that is just as foolhardy as someone doing what the word of God has already revealed saying he knows the exact date, because scripture JESUS SPEAKING LETS US KNOW EVEN HE DOES NOT KNOW THE EXACT DATE ONLY GOD, BUT HE DOES TELL US IT WILL BE LIKE A WOMEN IN TRAVAIL (a stage of delivery in pregnancy) the closer to the birth of a child the harder the delivery pangs, and the more there will be earthquakes, etc. Even the news stations are saying this has been the most active time in history including what is happening in our country as well as different, disasters around the globe. So yes Christians should be taking notice, and delving into the word, concerning end times.
