Had an MRI this morning (Thu. 09-04) on my brain, neck and mid-spine, just to make sure everything was still kosher with my illness. The neurologist called this afternoon with the results, saying that my brain and neck looked fine, but that "something" was pressing on my spinal cord in the mid-back region. I go in the morning (09-05) to discuss it with the doctor. Please pray that it's not serious or that it is easily taken care of or, preferably, that it's gone.
Peace and thanks, David |

Dia annseo isteach!
God to all here! Good Morning Dave, Thanks for the opportunity of standing beside you at the Throne of Grace... Father God, Marker of all Life, be with David this morning. Grant him your peace. Anoint those who serve in the medical field who deal with this trouble with his back. Use this Lord for your Glory! Renew David again and use him as a testimony of your Goodness and Grace. Heal him as a sign of your abiding presence within us all. We ask this in Jesus' name... Slan, Marty |

Thank you Marty! I'll keep you posted. Seems like I'm always asking for prayer. I hope no one is bothered by that. If so please tell me.
Thanks, David |

The neurologist said that the disease I was diagnosed with I probably never had. Instead, it was most likely this mass on my spinal cord that has been causing all the problems. He said that normally he would say it was cancer, but it behaves atypically for cancer. I don't have any of the normal signs such as unexplained weight loss or gain, blood in the stool, etc., it doesn't grow like cancer, and it responds to steroids. So he is baffled, and is sending me to a neurosurgeon next week to possibly get a biopsy, and to review the results of my CAT scan that I had yesterday. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

God to all here! Hey David, This all sounds like really great news to me! I love when the Lord lets us see what He is doing behind the scenes. Please let us know when you are going in for the biopsy so we can pray for that as well! Slan, Marty |

Saw the neurosurgeon on Monday. He too is somewhat baffled as to what the mass might be. However, he said that he leans toward it being just an infection in my spine that may be able to be cured by strong antibiotics rather than surgery. He is sending me to a neurosurgeon that specializes in spinal surgery for a consult on the 24th of September 8:30 am Texas time). I'll learn then about the biopsy.
God is so faithful!! This is just such an answer to prayer. I have no doubt God will heal me, either through a doctor, a miracle, or heaven, but this gives me hope that it will be something simple, and I will get to watch my 3 year old son grow up (for all you Celto-philes out there, my son's name is Liam). Thanks to everyone for their prayers! Please keep it up, and if you will, add to them that I will be a good father who raises his son to be a man of God. Grace and Peace to all, David |

God to all here! Great news David! I'll just claim the doc's uncertainties as a sign that God has done a good work here in you! As for being a good dad, why should you be any better than the rest of us??? We all messed up!! Slan, Marty |

My biopsy is scheduled for Oct. 9 at 9:00 am Texas time. All prayers for a quick and successful procedure are welcome. For those that believe in healing, feel free to pray for that as well.
Thank you all for everything you do and are. David |
