That's three questions, and I could answer them easily, but they are not the topic of this thread.

If you want to start another thread to discuss those issues, I'll be happy to participate.

Now, why don't you advance the evidence for the claims you have made here?

On Easter, CHURCHianity 'celebrates' Jesus' resurrection with rabbits laying colored eggs..butbtheir dogma BELIE he was EVER dead or RESURRECTED; the 'immortal' soul dogma means NONE of us EVER die- including Jesus back then- just switch bodies...

.

Any church goers care to explain this?

Amazingly bad English.

Who is going to be able to understand such an obscure question?

And show me a church, sect, or denomination that doesn't adhere to a dogma of one sort or another?

Is rudeness, along with lying and bearing false witness, also a Christian virtue, or is it specific to JW's?

In the weeks and months following the tragic execution of Jesus, the disciples and apostles made their way back to Galilee full of grief, disbelief and despair. But it began to slowly dawn on them that with Jesus gone, if his life and teachings were to have any lasting meaning, it would have to be through them and by them. That is as true of us today as it was of them two thousand years ago. It is in this sense then that "we are the resurrection". Jesus is dead but “the Christ” lives on in and through us. In my opinion the notion of the physical resurrection of Jesus is a metaphor for this simple truth.

I regard Jesus as entirely human and the divine Christ represents our human understanding of his life and teachings. Unfortunately this means that the religion of Jesus has mutated into a religion about Jesus. Just as importantly, very few Christians realize this.

This really struck a chord with me, JRT.

I feel the real message that Jesus had, was to love ourselves and one another.   That we are not separate beings, but connected, with everyone and everything.  If we can all have the awareness of that connection, and live our lives accordingly, then spiritually, we create the 'kingdom of god'.

I am unable to use particular biblical scriptures to support this, but from my many years of reading and studying , this belief of mine is the result.

To stay on topic, I believe Jesus died on the cross, his life expired.   I believe that the story of his resurrection, which wasn't recorded until decades later, is allegorical, and when first told, would have been meant as such.

I don't believe that the bible can be taken literally.   It has been misinterpreted, misconstrued, mistranslated, and manipulated, intentionally as well as unintentionally.

Nicely expressed, JRT, but we really don't know that any of what you describe above ever happened.

Aside from that, though, I could go along with what you say here.
