No, No, No!

Hey this is just disgusting the way he has twisted the Bible around!

Jesus didn’t take the rich young man’s possessions and that was Rush’s point. Jesus asked him to voluntarily give his possessions to the poor,  not the government who will skim off more than half to put in a bureaucrat’s pocket but to the poor.  When the man turns away he didn’t tie him down and steal the money out of his pocket. He didn’t demand the tax collector come after him.

Jesus took nothing from him!

Charity is not charity if it is forced.

Progressive income tax????

He praised the widow for giving something, but with today’s tax structure 40 percent of Americans don’t pay any taxes and then get an earned income tax return they didn’t really earn.

The Bible also teaches; “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.….But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden…for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap… let us not be weary in well doing:…let us do good unto all men”  Gal 6

There is a balance, a balance of working for what one gets and also giving to widows, orphans and those who can not work.

Wise men still seek him.
