Merry Christmas everyone,
After reading the Translations of the Bible thread, one thing I realize is that I know very little about manuscript history. Does anyone have a good website that has a review of manuscripts. Please not wikipedia :-P Cinci |
Merry Christmas everyone,

Please not wikipedia :-P Cinci
cinci_orthodox: Biblical Studies Resources: http://drjewest.googlepages.com/ The above website should help somewhat, but you need to study a book on textual criticism, or the history of how the Bible came down to us, I recommend the following, the best being first and so on. How We Got The Bible by Neil R. Lightfoot Introduction to New Testament Textual Criticism by Harold Greenlee The Text of the New Testament by Bruce Metzger The Bible in Translation by Bruce Metzger The New Testament: Its Background, Growth & Content by Bruce Metzger Apologist

Dear Apologist,
Thanks for the info. I have one year of Greek Orthodox seminary under my belt, including a year of Biblical Greek. I'm currently on a leave of absence for one year to help my family adjust here in Boston. Merry Christmas, Cinci |
