Hello everyone, I don't believe I've posted to this board before, so here's a little about me: I started learning Tarot after an introductory class on divination and asked to try a reading based solely on intuition without knowing card meanings, correspondences, or placement in the spread (the querant assisted me by laying out the cards in the spread), and after I finished, she said I was spookily accurate.
After that, I picked up a Rider-Waite deck and a beginner book and taught myself by doing readings for myself. Several years later, I have 4 decks of my own, have done individual readings for other people once in a while, and found myself volunteering to donate my time and energy for a fundraising event at my UU church in June. This is going to be more than I've ever done as far as reading for others goes. Also, someone loaned me some other decks that are themed for this event (a Fairy Festival, so I ended up with a total of 7 Fairy decks of various sorts and styles). I have cleansed and continue to charge all 7 decks, and work with each one on a regular basis to familiarize myself with their energy and interpretations. What else should I do for this event so I don't either keel over from exhaustion or end up with my senses clouded and clogged decks? Incense is not going to be very practical because of the setting (and one of the worker/volunteers has severe allergies to most scents). Is there something I could make into a tea and sip on throughout the day (like sage or cinnamon)? Thank you, sfatula |
