I display all of the characteristics and traits of a Leo.  In fact, I would describe myself as a "concentrated" Leo being born on August 22 so I inherited all of the "pulp".  I am over sensitive, highly creative, protective of loved ones, passionate, loyal, prideful, and unfortunately I have also been anxious, distrustful, vengeful, arrogant, judgmental, aggressive, and overtly shy and introverted.  I think it's a result of the Leo being in a hostile environment and trying to survive.  Also, I think the Leo needs validation and cannot perceive any power struggles because it will bring out his/her "big cat" instincts to dominate and overpower.  As far as dating, I would always go back and forth with extreme shyness and/or over-confidence. I didn't do too well with women who had children from other males. It's typical male lion behavior unfortunately.  I do well with my immediate family or "pride".  All in all, I think I need an extremely wise, intelligent, and compassionate woman who doesn't feel the need to "hunt" with other lionesses or be part of the "alpha male's" harem.  She must be a lone lioness who can manage on her own and sees the benefit of having one male to raise both of their "cubs".  Yes, it is hard to find that.

I was seeing another Leo for almost a year. That in itself surprised even to me because I was married to a Leo for 17 years and I said I would never do that again. Anyway, my confusion is this: from the length of time I've been seeing the last Leo which about about 10 months, he never has had me over to his home. He did explain a stalker situation with an ex when we first met. Just before I decided not to speak to him, he was inviting me over to his home for the past few weekends (we live over an hours drive away and work different shifts) but something always came up. The last time he didn't even have a good reason, he just said maybe tomorrow. I don't honestly feel there is another woman, and even if there were, I've told him at least a hundred times, if you don't want to see me anymore just say so. In our many conversations, he led me to believe he had feelings for me, but I've always had this feeling of insecurity or distrust (again never thought it was another woman but he was keeping something from me) I know whoever reads this will think "why did you stay with him for so long?" When I met him, I wasn't exactly looking for anyone, I was engaged to a wonderful man the year previous and my fiance' passed away and decided to just casually date with the encouragement of my grown children. Both this guy and I seemed to be doing the same and so I guess I just went with it and then we would see each other more often and talk on the phone every single day at least once. I just don't understand why he couldn't be up front with me and tell me, he never planned on having me over his home. Once again, I have no clue why anyone would string another person along for so long. We are both older, he will be 53 July 27, I will be 50 July 25th.

(Sorry, I'm not a regular over on these boards, but I saw the word "Leo" and felt compelled to comment.)

My b-day is Aug 8th and I am ALL Leo.... independent and protective of my loved ones.  I actually dated another (only child) Leo and what a struggle THAT was.... both of us trying to put the other up on a pedastel.  Tiring to say the least.
Now I am happy being single and enjoying being able to watch what I want on TV  :-)
