Rev Dorris,

Glad you were able to access some of the CM threads and retrieve the info. There were lots of posts, threads and info that was shared, which I found to be of enormous value, so save all you can now, cause I don't know how long it will last before it disappears.

I haven't been able to get on the cm boards...period. It's a shame that they will lose many paying customers. Funny (not!) that some see high school as the highlight of their life and it's downward from there. Well then, cm is for them!

BTW, thank you Art. I really appreciate your om expertise!

Blessings~

Remember it is not you that is the helper and healer.

Well, yes and no. While I agree it is not necessarily us are healers...that we can be a conduit, pat of that flow through the physical form is US and we can help many others in various situations. I have found, while being a conduit, often the only thing needed is one's presence. However, there are other situations that the only way to help is to listen...totally absorb and listen. Hope that makes sense.

CM doesn't hold any magic for me anymore since the boards are gone. what you say is true about how some see high school as the highlight of their life and downhill from there. Sad.

For some reason it reminds me of that old pink floyd song Wish You were Here;

New Thought

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Part of a series on New Thought

Religion portal

New Thought promotes the ideas that "Infinite Intelligence" or "God" is ubiquitous, spirit is the totality of real things, true human selfhood is divine, divine thought is a force for good, sickness originates in the mind, and "right thinking" has a healing effect.[1][2]

Although New Thought is neither monolithic nor doctrinaire, in general modern day adherents of New Thought believe that "God" or "Infinite Intelligence" is "supreme, universal, and everlasting", that divinity dwells within each person, that all people are spiritual beings, that "the highest spiritual principle [is] loving one another unconditionally ... and teaching and healing one another", and that "our mental states are carried forward into manifestation and become our experience in daily living".[1][2]

The New Thought movement is a spiritually-focused or philosophical interpretation of New Thought beliefs. Started in the early 19th century, today the movement consists of a loosely allied group of religious denominations, secular membership organizations,[citation needed] authors, philosophers, and individuals who share a set of beliefs concerning metaphysics, positive thinking, the law of attraction, healing, life force, creative visualization, and personal power.[3] The three major religious denominations within the New Thought movement are Religious Science, Unity Church and the Church of Divine Science. There are many other smaller churches within the New Thought movement, as well as schools and umbrella organizations.

Especially for the "New Thought Hindus" among you---LOL

New Thought has a pretty good grip on this island of Oahu, Hawaii.  I had intermittently attended the Unity Church here "at Diamond Head" since they had the best guest speakers from all over,  shortly after I moved to Hawaii in 1975.  Since then I've been able to watch their weekly one-hour service on local TV. The Diamond Head Church is located right next to the late Swami Muktananda's ashram.  After I married Charlotte at the end of '76, and in '78 she began spontaneous channeling, her 'ears perked up', and she joined in on my  multitudinous ventures into our checking out all sorts of spiritual vendors.

Along with our membership in the Unitarian church, we made time on early Sunday mornings to join in on a new little New Thought church of the denomination of Divine Science (originally founded in Colorado by Malinda Cramer) because a Unitarian friend told me about it.   Charlotte and I took the training course together for about a year out of Cramer's little book.  Similarly, another little Religious Science (Science of Mind) church was one of the few places that Charlotte and I were invited to speak formally about Charlotte's  channeling.

It is interesting that Cramer's positive thinking healed a serious early health problem, but she died as a result of injuries in the San Francisco Earthquake!

The following expands slightly but down its page you will find an excellent chart to click on details of different New Thought church doctrines:
