I know that many people ask for prayers that involve the health of another. What I am asking for today is the help of prayer to help save a soul from eternal damnation.
My mother, raised Baptist, has lost sight of the Glory of God.
She is wicked with her tongue and lashes all of those around her. She is very miserable but continues to fail seeing that she is promoting evil things in her life and those lives around her. Her name is Norma Jean.
I am asking you to pray with me that Jesus Christ will take her under his heavenly hands and assist her to finding her way back into his fold. I pray, not just because she is my mother but, because she is a lost sheep in the flock. I pray that she hears the words and feels the Glory of God once more. I pray that she can accept Jesus back into her life. Pray with me that she is allowed to recieve his Holy Spirit.
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, not sitteth in the seat of the scornful."
You promised to bless me, Lord, when I turn away from the constant contact with evil people. Help me glority You through my friendships and associations. But continue to keep my heart burning to reach those souls who do not know You. May my prayer remain constant, asking that Your Spirit will touch the souls of the unsaved around me. My prayer can still reach out to those with whom I do not walk, stand or sit. Turn their lives around, just as You have mine."

The Lord dwells amongst sinners, and the blind. Yet, the danger to many that do live amongst such is that they may be lost, and become as those that hurt.
Good feels good, when understood and seen with good vision.
Love your mother, even as it were she was an enemy. If she harms, do not ignore her harm, any more than you would ignore your own child doing wrong.
Your intention is to help her. If she does not see that she needs help, she will ignore your words. Your actions flow from an intention of love, and a desire to save her, yet she does not see that.
Say that your mother's set of values is as a curio cabinet. She considers all of the items in there precious, and hers, as she acquired them much in the same way as she acquired her thoughts, and actions. If you point out the damage and dirt upon one item in the curio cabinet, she may not respect you. Thus, she puts up a wall, and closes the cabinet. To her the curios are all precious, and a part of her that are beautiful.
There are many walls of people in this world. Whether of door locks of homes, and locks of the hearts and minds. What is needed is understanding.
Your mother intends to do what is best for her. If you ask her why, and seek understanding of why she clings to hurtful actions, you may understand.
In the same token, she may understand you, if she desires. Yet, one may lead a horse to water, and the horse may choose to become angry if you try to force the horse to drink.
34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
For understanding see: Ezekiel 16:44. What a parent passes on is not always good. The iniquity in a daughter is considered excused by the iniquity of the mother, and thus families stop growing towards fruitful paths that would allow more to enjoy eternal life, and freedom. Sin remains sin. When sin is considered acceptable by those that surround, what more harm would be done with eternal life? By choice one sins, and by choice one is given freedom and responsibility.
Thus, a good woman may be as a sheep amongst wolves. As those that hear the call of the shepard, and know the wolves which surround.
