i'm not saying women aren't strong.. what i'm tryingto convey on a "touchy" subject to some is that the attributes and qualities most of us assign to either feminine or masculine.. for instance your honest opinion.. Do you think women or men more symbolize the aspect of "Nurturing"? What about soft / ie gentle in dealing with others.. if u took 100 guys off the street and 100 women at random ie from various socioeconomic classes then had a threatening bossy fellow walk in and start shouting crap.. how many of the guys would wanna run over and bash his head in rather than take soft approach and try reasoning with him? what about the ladies? do you think a larger proportion of the women would act assertively or the opposite.. i'm not valuing one sex above the other what i'm trying to say is that certain attributes or qualities come more naturally to one sex ie women are "in touch" with life principal and "know" nurturing because they can grow life inside them whereas a man can't..
Try to look at this from different perspective 4 a moment.. Do you think most men seem "heartless" ie non caring ie unromantic compared to women? honestly...... that's because men generally use rational logic to figure things out and act in that "cold scientific" manner and we haven't really worked nor been allowed to get in touch with softer side.. I remember hearing from teachers, parents, coaches, drill seargents i don't know how many times "don't cry ie express emotion" so we using one side of brain and develop that part to detriment of other side.. Ask most men who they feel and i bet they can't really identify the feeling but they can tell u it feels good or bad and figure out a plan to get away from it...lol whereas most, not all, women are allowed to voice their feelings and talk things out... ie they develop other side of cerebral cortex... women need to learn from men just as much as men need to learn from women.... if u ever look at symbol of TAO/Dao http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Yin_yang.svg you'll see one half nearly black with small white dot and opposite side is nearly black except for small white dot.. imagine the large portion of a side is the dominant aspect ie thinking /masculine feeling/feminine.. neither is greater than the other but if u put both together in decision making you get further than attacking problem from 1 sided approach.. the small dots are the opposite undeveloped attribute.. hope i didn't offend.. i know this touchy subject.. maybe that is in part problem with society.. most of us don't try to really understand what the other is saying before we ready to go for the throat.. ie shut speaker up... Now consider this take 5 religions and see where the associate the feminine and masculine principals.. is mother asscociated with sky? or earth? what about male earth or sky? see the earth is mother because from it we are born it nurtures us...also you've heard women are from venus and men from mars.. well earth is between them and that's where in my humble opinion we all need to move towards ie the martians move toward venus and the venusians toward mars.... ie develop opposite side of brain... like i said above it's not our strengths that undo us.. but our weaknesses... It's not easy developing that other side.. the side we developed through life is like a pair of well worn tennis shoes all comfy etc...then we try a new pair on and have to break em in.. the new shoes don't "feel" right.. takes gettin use to.... i've been married over 20 years and i've learned alot from using alot of my wifes approaches to solving people problems... but she has learned from me as well.. Anyway have a good weekend....hope this cleared up what i was trying to say...above |
