It's too late now, I am afraid, but I really wish somebody would have explained to us why this site is shutting down.

Looks like debate dot org might be the closest thing to BNet's USN&P board, and has spots for other topics, too, which would be good for things like Animal Rights and/or Women's Issues

It looks a lot more impersonal though.  Don't know about the level of trolling there because I haven't looked at any discussions yet

Black Lives Matter
Muslim Lives Matter
There is no such thing as "illegals"
LGBT Lives Matter
Poor Women's Lives Matter

Debate.org sounds like a possibility.

I've been checking around and will see what I find.

When thinking about why this discussion group is being killed by the people in charge, I wonder if it is because this is basically a religious site, and there was too much non-religious talk going on?

I just stopped in to see who was sticking it out to the very end , but a word of advice to everyone in angst over this from someone who has moved on to another site. When you do the same, you will realize how poorly setup and poorly ran BN really is/was. I wish I had moved years ago.

Yup.  But a lot of it is about the people you know.

We all have to move on.  I'll be out there somewhere.  Look for F1Fan.
