Palestinian suicide bomber mastermind convicted

Ibrahim Hamed, a former commander of Hamas' Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades in the West Bank, was convicted of 46 counts of murder Wednesday. 

The Ofer Military court also found him guilty of four counts of accessory to murder and four counts of attempted murder.

Hamed, 47, was arrested in 2006. He was convicted of having direct involvement in a string of terror attacks in Jerusalem, including the 2001 attack in Zion Square, which left 10 dead; the 2002 attack in Café Moment, which claimed 11 lives; the 2003 suicide attacks on Café Hillel, which left seven dead and 57 wounded; and the 2003 shooting attack in Zerifin which left nine dead.
