Because, for all intents and purposes, the one state already exists. Formalizing it is a hell of a lot easier than dividing up what Israel has already taken. Do Israel and "Palestine" constitute a cohesive unit desiring self-determination? Clearly not. So what is this "one state" that already exists? Why is "easier" the best solution? And easier for whom? And if you believe that Israel is a thief who has "taken", what does that say about your desire for pluralism? |
