There are plenty of capitalism apologists who deny that there'd be any "false need for consumer goods". Notably in your country, notably in your very own political camp. There are plenty of corporation lobby apologists who argue that fishing & monocultures are just fine. Notably among the Republican party. There are plenty of people who eagerly participate in urban sprawl & its needless and inefficient land consumption. Notably among the young, successful capitalism apologists. But you don't see them, you say. Really not? Why not sweep in front of your own door first? Why blame and accuse those who want to do something about this instead of forming a strategic alliance with them? My guess: because in your heart, you don't really want to do much about it. It is more important to boycott anything that could be seen as 'leftist', than to solve real world problems.

Hello, If you seriously believe in Global Warming then why isn't your message taken to China? Seriously, if your message was so important China and Russia would jump on board. As it is, your fairy tales are getting old. Go join your NWO. America can do just fine by herself, without your Carbon Tax.

Nice try, but when it comes to degradation of the environment WE'RE #1! The US still has something like 5 percent of the earth's people using 20 percent or so of the available energy. So obviously, we're going to have to set an example before we go demanding the right behavior from anybody else. And the example we're setting now is wretched, mainly due to the unwarranted influence on and usurpation of governing power by oil companies and oilfield suppliers.
