Absolutely no verification of this alleged 'raid' - and BTW the first link didn't work.

And who trusts *missionaries* anyway?  They're nothing but spiritual predators.....  Oh, there may be a few who actually have respect for others' cultures and ways, but very very few.  And the ones who are like that, don't ADVERTISE their virtues.

Until there's some actual evidence this isn't simply more hearsay and invective - NO COMMENT.

Beyond, of course, the observation that bringing such unsubstantiated allegations in as though they are confirmed fact is exactly what's so bad about slander.....

Did a Google search of this subject - and found that the ONLY links were found with sherri's favorite blogs.

NOT ONE LEGITIMATE SOURCE - INCLUDING ARABNEWS, AL-JAZEERA, OR AL-ARABIYA - CARRIED THIS STORY.

This is something I have come to expect from this particular poster...

ReliefWeb is a reputable website tracking humanitarian crisis around the world, and attacks by Israel on schools in Gaza are regular occurrences. All one has to do is read reports by Amnesty and Human Rights Watch to see the truth of this. This incident just recently happening, the likely explanation for some posters having difficulty finding it addressed. When I find further accounts of this raid and more details about it, I will provide it. Sherri

Another fair and unbiaed site that reports both sides, BD?

Yes, I've read accounts that the various Pal propaganda sites cut, paste, and share the same story over and over and over.

Strangely enough, tho, these stories NEVER make it to legitimate news media.

This story is simply another one of those.

I have yet to find out where the kindergarten supposedly comes into this, but we can certainly take a look at some of the recent events in Gaza.

Let's start with a reminder of the Hamas Charter, purely to put things in context:

"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it." (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).

"The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. "

"There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."

Next, we'll recall that 270 rockets and missiles have been fired from the Gaza strip aimed at Israel's civilian population since January 1, 2012.

The day of the Israeli response, two rockets were fired into Israel and several rockets were spotted being prepared for launch.  In addition, a well-armed Palestinian fighter armed to the teeth with sophisticated equipment, grenades, explosives and an AK-47 infiltrated Israel.  His motive in doing so is not clear; he may have been attempting to kidnap a soldier or attack nearby Israeli civilians. Either way, it was a planned attack against Israel.

In response to these events, Israel conducted a number of precise military operations to alleviate the threat and prevent further attacks.  Israeli military targeted what appears to be uninhabited buildings (with one apparent exception) and specfic (valid) military targets.

Let's be real here, folks.  The implication that Israel is bombing innocent children at a kindergarten is blatantly false.

None of this can be found on the "warisacrime" site.  It seems the organizers of that group only believe 'war is a crime' when  *Israel* does anything.......

Shusha,

The Hamas Charter does not justify Israeli attacks on schools and children, I do not know how any human being can justify such acts in that fashion. Can you explain?

Further, it is not true that the airstrikes occurred the day an infiltrator tried to enter Israel, that event occurred June 1, 2012, the airstrikes against civilians and civilian objects, that included the kindergarten did not occur until June 3 and June 4. There is no evidence any of the targets of the airstrikes on June 3 and June 4 were military targets, only civilians were targeted and injured in those airstrikes, only civilian structures were targeted, all of this becomes clear when one looks at the full weekly human rights group report for the week ending June 6, 2012. (you have to download full report from link below to view this full report) What it looks like is these airstrikes against civilian targets on June 3 and June 4, that included the kindergarten,  were collective punishment enacted unlawfully against the civilian population of Gaza, to pay them back for the militant activity on June 1, 2012, in which Israel  also responded to that day, by killing 3 combatants and injuring three other combatants.

Sherri,

There have been no attacks on schools and children by Israel.  (Hamas, on the other hand, makes this a near daily practice).

And Hamas attempts to justify this through the wording of their charter.

Israel, on the other hand, is in the very difficult position of having to respond to constant attacks on its civilians under the threat of annihilation by an entity (or two, or three) who fire rockets from the roofs of schools and hospitals and actively call for women and children to gather near military targets.

Shusha,

There have been many attacks on schools and children in Gaza, by Israel. That is exactly what the OP is all about, an attack on a school/kindergarten for 3 to 6 yr olds. Israel knew where the kindergarten was, and they aimed a missile at it, and hit their target as planned, deliberately targeting and damaging the kindergarten.

And Israel regularly massacres Palestinian children, 344 slaughtered in Cast Lead alone, they deliberately target and kill children. We see evidence of this in the 344 children Israel deliberately targeted and killed in Cast Lead.

Additional data (included in previous table)
Occupied Territories
Israel
Gaza Strip West Bank Total

Palestinian minors killed by Israeli security forces
344 1 345 0

Each child Israel targeted and killed during Cast Lead is identified by name and details are provided on how each child was killed. Here are the first 2 children identified as killed, from the tables. Angham Ra'fat 'Atallah al-Masri, a 10 year-old resident of Beit Hanun, North Gaza district, was killed on 1/18/2009 by a missile, she was not participating in the hostilities, she was standing on the street as she was targeted for killing by Israeli Forces. Jihan Sami Sa'di al-Hilu, a 16 year old resident of Gaza city, was killed on 1/18/2009, she did not participate in the hostilities, she was killed while in her own home with her family, and her home was targeted for a missile attack. And the other 342 other deliberately killed children are all named on Btselem site.

Israel has a practice of deliberately targeting and killing Palestinian civilians, to include children. They also have a practice of bombing schools, as evidenced by human rights groups reports from Cast Lead and other military operations, reports can be accessed on Amnesty and Human Rights Watch websites.

Over the week ending June 6, 10 civilians were injured in airstrikes Israel launched against civilian structures, 7 children were injured in attacks on houses in a refugee camp.

I do not know how it is that some people simply cannot face the truth about Israel's human rights abuses.
