You have to understand that while the Jewish claims to the Jewish national homeland, Israel, are not based on faith, the opposition to the Jewish national homeland, Israel, by the Arab Muslim world is based on faith or at least that part of Muslim faith which opposes any lands ever under Muslim political control from being in the political control of non-Muslims. that fiath idea is at odds with other Islamic faith ideas which have been ignored for political reasons. We could discuss this at length on the DI board if the people on the DI board would allow for such a discussion.

Plenty of Jews will not agree to the part bolded.

But that is not what you said (So, please come by DI again so we can explain to you, once again, that, in Isam, devout Jews and Christians are Muslims in God's eyes, as were the great prophets of the OT and the NT.  We are patient, and will not mind showing you how this is so as many times as needed for it to take).

And yet you take every opportunity to insert your faith statement on the MENP board.  It is to that, that I responded.

You must have come in late and neglected to read from the beginning.  Please review to know what I was responding to.

Been here since the beginning.  You're crawfishing.

Not at all.  Please address the topic.

No one here has said that Jews have no history in Palestine, they most certainly do...

Miraj,

But look at some of the things that have been said:

Muslims are the custodian of the holy city in Jerusalem

Since Jewish people lost their status of "Chosen people", Islam states Muslims are the chosen people...

if Muslims...take over the Jerusalem, Jews and Christians will still be protected and permitted to fulfill all religious rights in the city

The Qur'an says God gave permission to migrate (From Africa) to historical Palestine/Israel....HOWEVER, it NEVER said it will remain to Jews forever.

However it does not say Jews will have the right to come back after 2000 years...

...they don't have rights to the land of their forefather...

It's not at all ignorant to say that all claims are valid and that no one faith group has no greater legitimacy over religious sites than the others.

The poster quoted above does not say all claims are valid.  He specifically states that Muslims are to be the caretakers and have the true rights and can grant "permission" (and one would have to assume, remove permission) to others.

This is a faith-based set of beliefs that has political consequences.  It doesn't matter if this is an accurate interpretation of Islam, this is the belief.  This set of beliefs seems to me to be quite widespread in the Muslim world.  It is nothing more or less than supercessionism.

Politically, it is absolutely incompatible with the idea of a homeland for the Jewish people or with the political reality of Israel.

The idea of a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine is a religious belief with political consequences, is it not?

The idea of the national homeland of the Jewish people in ISRAEL is a political idea based on history, nationhood, people-hood, social ethnic community and religious ties and yes, like all other political ideas, it has political consequences. In this case the political consequences of the national effort of the Jewish people was the establishment of the State of Israel - the realization of the goal.
