Please do not give up on the Democratic Party... without the Democrats there would be no Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, a minimum wage, child labor laws, or a living wage. If you really want to overturn Roe v. Wade (approved by Republican Nixon & upheld by Ford & Reagan) it will be the Democratic Party to do it...

Please support President Jimmy Carter by signing the petition below which calls for the Democratic Party to accept Pro Life Democrats back into the Party. It will be submitted by Carter to the DNC Chair. A little under half of all Democrats are Pro Life and it is time that we are recognized...

You're asking this party to turn its back on what it is.

This would be the ultimate oxymoron.

Everything in your list is an expansion of government.  Not only that a HUGE expansion of govt at every turn.

To accept pro life democrats into the party and give them any credence whatsoever is to say "here's an idea.  lets reduce govt."

Not in this lifetime.

how is this expansion of government?     get government out of women's health needs not increase the intrusion.

Bush's "de-Bathification program" eliminated all vestiges of Sunni power in Iraqi society and set the stage for the Sunni insurrection against American occupation and the new Shiite-led government. Bush disbanded the entire Sunni-dominated Iraqi Army and bureaucracy. He didn't change it. He didn't make it more inclusive of Shiites and Kurds. He just disbanded it. It is no accident that two of the top commanders of today's ISIL are former commanders in the Saddam-era Iraqi military.

over half of the states mandate that birth control is covered if other medication like Viagra is covered.    This is why it was included in the AHC which is federal.      it was not pulled out of someone's hat.   it is not without precedent.       Abortions are not paid out of taxpayer money.    Medicaid will pay for one if the health of the women is concerned,   what she should do?    die or be rendered sterile because she is on medicaid?         Planned Parenthood does not use tax money to fund abortions.

twist it anyway you want Bo but be honest enough to not leave out the precedents and try to look at the whole picture.

I don't have to twists it ... reality is what it is.  Viagra treats a medical condition.  O.C.s are mostly used for a non-medical purpose.

The conservative position would be neither medication is covered.  Take care of your own reproductive health.

Life of the mom always takes precedence.

The idea PP doesnt fund abortions is fantasy.

In a world where everybody "took care of their own health" this would be consistent. But why is "reproductive health" any less deserving than "cardiac health?"

What about "orthopedic health?" Do you as a provider accept reimbursement from anybody but the patient?

I am glad you feel that way; many conservatives do not.

Who says they don't? Of course they do...abortions are performed at a financial loss. Nobody else will...and certainly no government does.
