Romney is blaming Obama for not doing more to keep the Chinese gov't from taking Chen Guangcheng, and says it's a "dark day for freedom."
I've been extremely critical of Obama's performance as president, but I had no idea he was responsible for what happens in China as well as the US. I mean, who knew? Barack O. from Chi-ca-go must be a hell of a lot more powerful than I thought. Speaking at a campaign event in Portsmouth, Va., Romney cited "disturbing" and "troubling" news reports about the case and said it appeared officials at the American embassy in Beijing had "failed to put in place the kind of verifiable measures needed" to protect Chen and his family. news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/romney-chine... I wonder what kind of verifiable measures he had in mind.
