Do you think that granting the Federal gov't even MORE power via Obamacare a good or bad idea, given the demonstrable propensity to tyranny all-too-evident in the foregoing article?

Since the AFFORDABLE Health Care Act doesn't give the government any power any question about giving them "more power" is indicative of a insurmountable bias.

What do you have against AFFORDABLE health care?

An interesting question Hatman except the blogger in question is being harassed under STATE law not federal and not the ACA.

While what you have written here is true in re: the original victim, had you read a bit further, you may have encountered the following:

In 2010, the FDA raided the offices of Daniel Chapter One, a Christian ministry that promotes a diet based on the bible chapter that is its namesake after a federal judge refused to allow the FTC to level a massive fine against the company.

Unless i'm seriously mistaken, both the FTC and the FDA are Federal agencies...

Hence my question about Obamacare and it's lying promises to make healthcare "affordable," when what is more likely is further control over just which treatments are "gov't-approved" or not.

What you need in the States is socialised medicine, such as is found in countries like Canada, Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Sweden, Spain, and the United Kingdom, to name just a few.

What's keeping the leader of the free world from having free hospitals and subsidised prescriptions, and various other benefits paid for by people's tax dollars?

Or is this what that Obamacare that we've read about is supposed to do?

I don't want "affordable health care." I want socialized medicine. Obamacare isn't socialized medicine, so I say to hell with it.

Actually, the ultimate goal of Obamacare was to force as many people on to the government dole as possible.

You see, the core of the law is that all Americans would be legally required to have insurance or else be directly punished in the form of an annual fine.

Not many people can actually afford full-on insurance like what the government requires, and so they'd have to wind up on the government's insurance programs.

Pretty much everything else about the law was meant to make it as difficult as possible for people and companies to escape it.

Suffice to say I don't see the Supreme Court allowing it to stand as written.

No, they just let the laws that require us to have auto insurance stand because that's totally different.
