The ones who are rightfully defending themselves are the ones who are being attacked and occupied  by foreign forces from far away  that  attempt to control their lives and decide their destiny, not the Armed Forces of the United States who  should not be there  in the first place.

Well, I suppose the Taliban and AQ fall into that category; however those wishing to bring their country into the Twentieth and possibly even the Twenty-First Cehtury including Afghan women) may disagree with you.

And you want to bring them into the Twenty- First Century by sending drones to their villages? That is what   those who are conducting this war would like you to believe we are doing.

Afghan women's place in society has not changed one iota with the  American  ten year  invasion. And the poppy fields are more prosperous than ever.  Traditions and customs  evolve with positive changes in society, with good examples, not imposed by force of armas.

Because they are sovereign.  They don't have to IMAGINE  anything. Sovereign is an accepted universal principle that means a country has the right to  decide how to run their affairs.

Yes, And that sovereign nation allowed a terrorist roup to USE its soverign lands as a base of operations to attck anothe soverign nation and murder 3000 of its citizens.  As such, the Taliban Afghabistan Government risked the sovereignty of its people and was accordingly deposed.

Maybe we should attack Saudi Arabia too.  That is where the attackers  really started their operations, since that is where they came from.

So Saudi foreigners in Afghanistan created "The Base" to expel Rusiian invaders and the support Taliban religious zealots to create a theocratic tyranny to oppress the rest of the Afghan people?  I strongly suggest you read a little deeper into history arielG...

Taking a deeper look into history would profit you too. This is one more step in the process of  the  Middle Eastern  region attempts  to free themselves from foreign and  Western colonialism.

If that is where the Taliban is hiding, then so be it.  Drones are a heckuva lot more discriminiating that Taliban suicide bombers...

Really?  It has in Kabul and other cities.  See Afghan Star Women's rights clearly have a long way to go., so put Kabul et al at the same level as the Nineteenth Century.  Compare that to where the Taliban want to put Afghan women's rights - all the way back to medieval times and chattel status.

The opium trade BTW is as old as Afghanistan itself.  The Taliban (good holy hyprocrites they are too) engage in it.  At least NATO is engaged in an opium eradication program.

Had the KSA Government brainstormed and funded the attack, or had sheltered the attackers, your comments might make sense.  But KSA did not - the Taliban Giovernment did, so your comments do not make sense at all.

For you I might recommend you look into a little Geography too as Afghanistan is NOT considered a Middle Eastern country - just a detail  Wink

A meaningless detail.  This is the perspective you should consider:

arielg, I consider IGNORANCE to be a big thing - and I'm not impressed with your propaganda - it's dated for one thing...

Propaganda my tushy. IGNORANT is a mind that prefers indoctrination over reason.  There is nothing dated about the aims of the military involvement in that region.  It is going on  today.  But of course, according to the official narrative that some go by, the war is always  "winding down".

No ... For quite a while The War in Afghanistan was pretty much just "marking Time" (during The Iraq Distraction) and then it "wound up" and now it is indeed "winding down" ...

It convinced the sheeple who can be easily manipulated by their leaders (who are at the service of big businesses)  because they do not think by themselves. They are just given a few lines that they keep repeating at nauseum.

Maybe YOU think al Qaida and 9-11-2001, etc., were just a few harmlessCranks and Pranks, but MOST of us take them SERIOUSLY ...
