There are no reports of causalities, but, I'm afraid, that will change. I hope it doesn't. No political comments, just my thoughts for all those involved.

WOW. That looks really devastating. I hope the casualties are not to high, be nice if only minor injuries, but looking at the video makes me fear much worse. My thoughts go out to everyone involved.
A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle

When we were young, Navy pilots were singularly renowned for giving their lives, if need be, to prevent their craft from coming down into residences. |

With my dad being ex-Navy, VA Beach was our home twice when I was a child and I moved back there as an adult for a few years. This is awful, but my prayers go up for everyone involved.

Wow. This is so sad. The news story mentions that a lot of the area residents are elderly. When I started reading, I hoped that a lot of these folks would be at work when this happened, but if there are a lot of elderly there, that sadly may not be the case. Very tragic.

"When it shall be said in any country in the world, my poor are happy; neither ignorance nor distress is to be found among them; my jails are empty of prisoners, my streets of beggars; the aged are not in want, the taxes are not oppressive; the rational world is my friend, because I am a friend of its happiness: When these things can be said, then may the country boast its constitution and its government." -- Thomas Paine: The Rights Of Man (1791)
