I think the comparison is somewhat good, yes. But then, Lieberman (a) isn't taken really serious either, and (b) at least is a real foreign minister and not merely head of a superfluous & powerless bureaucratic entity.

I didn't know Ken Livingstone was running for mayor again. This is fun. Wasn't he succeeded by a younger, more yuppie type person some time ago? See what I found... this is the same Ken Livingstone who said these words about these same mayorial elections:

“It’s a simple choice between good and evil – I don’t think it’s been so clear since the great struggle between Churchill and Hitler… The people that don’t vote for me will be weighed in the balance, come Judgement Day. The Archangel Gabriel will say, ‘ You didn’t vote for Ken Livingstone in 2012. Oh dear, burn forever. Your skin flayed for all eternity.’”

I guess we need to think British here, and Mr. Rubin and his clients are quite quickly pissed-off. They might even consider the above a praise of Hitler...
