golf courses, grazing pastures, and paved roads? These people are insane. The tea party people are clearly insane. No one in their right mind could come up with this nonsense.

Obviously jobs and the welfare of the country mean nothing to these people. Of course they have often proven themselves profoundly ignorant of just about everything a person in political office should know, so I am not surprised.

The fat cats need to do some work for once and stop playing golf and plotting power grabs.

Actually, the USGA is supporting a great deal of research into how to reduce water consumption and fertilizers on golf courses.  This is because reducing these means less costs and more profit for the course owners, making the product more affordable to the masses.  Benefit to the environment will be simply a nice side-effect.

From what I can see on my home course, the course serves as a terrific environment for lots of critters that would otherwise be displaced by the strip malls and housing tracs in the area.  There are bunnies, ground squirrels, quail, ducks, geese, coyotes and hawks.  We use quiet battery-powered carts.  And the water hazards use reclaimed water.

On the other hand, we also have a huge race track on the other end of the valley that hosts stock car races weekly and NASCAR races twice a year. All those  hundreds of acres of asphalt and concrete don't seem to be so environmentally friendly.  Not to mention the noise and the air pollution caused by all those cars.

Anyway, back to the topic. ... These Tea Party types must think we are all just a bunch of morons out here.  They can just make up the most outrageous lies and we will just believe it.  Come to think of it, most of the stupidest chain e-mails I receive are from my Republican friends.
