Asserting that women need vaginal probes before having access to a legal medical procedure or blanketing all women on contraception 'sluts' and 'prostitutes' will result in another Obama term.

Your vaginal probes are part of the standard procedure conducted by Planned Parenthood before any abortion, so I don't think that is going to move anyone one way or the other.

What the HELL are you talking about?  Why do people think they can get away with spouting utter bs?

Or are you just that ignorant?

Jesus had two dads, and he turned out alright.~ Andy Gussert

“Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, starved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions…for safety on the streets…for child care, for social welfare…for rape crisis centers, women’s refuges, reforms in the law.

If someone says, “Oh, I’m not a feminist,” I ask, “Why, what’s your problem?”

It isn't utter bs, it is fact. PP does an ultrasound, and that is how they do it.

You can also go to PP to find out information about ultrasounds, both abdomen and vaginal.

The important thing to remember about American history is that it is fictional, a charcoal-sketched simplicity for the children or the easily bored. For the most part it is uninspected, unimagined, unthought, a representative of the thing and not the thing itself. It is a fine fiction...

‎"Ignorance of ignorance, then, is that self-satisfied state of unawareness in which man, knowing nothing outside the limited area of his physical senses, bumptiously declares there is nothing more to know! He who knows no life save the physical is merely ignorant; but he who declares physical life to be all-important and elevates it to the position of supreme reality--such a one is ignorant of his own ignorance."

Any women who supports the GOP in the current climate, is either terribly blind and brainwashed, or extremely self loathing. Either condition horribly sad.

The present GOP hate the female being. And this is reinforced by many republican posters here as well.

Republican men seem to want total control over the female body, And also seem to view women as disposable. A women dies you can easily replace them with another. So she does not need proper healthcare. Women are not human beings, simply toys to be used abused and discarded. That is how the GOP seems to view women.

How many people here can tell the difference between an ultrasound done diagnostic purposes, and one intended to induce feelings of guilt in women seeking to terminate a pregnancy?

*raises hand*

It's not the ultra-sound that is objectionable, it's requiring abortion providers to treat women as mentally incompetant, unable to understand what's going on in an abortion, and thus must sit through an optional procedure used to give expectant mothers early pictures and sounds of their potential offspring.

If an ultrasound is deemed a necessary precursor to a surgical procedure by the provider, that is one thing.  But what certain state legislatures are doing is very different.

I am with Jon Stewart

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle

I stand corrected!  It was Stephanopoulos who started the partisan "investigation" of Planned Parenthood.  And it was he who was behind the decision to cut off funding by Korman. And it was Stephanopoulos who got the bishops to feign outrage.  And he was responsible for passing laws requiring women to be vaginally probed.  And is was Stephanopoulos, not Rick Santorum, who declared "contraception is not OK."  And is was he, not Limbaugh who called that young woman "a slut" for daring to stand up and testifying before congress. /sarcasm

You shouldn't even try to speak for women on this.  Maybe you should try your ears and hear what women have to say and think about this climate, since it's obvious you're with the good ol' boys.

I wish more women would make the sacrifices to raise our sons into men who can partner rather than chattel women!  Same goes for the women of the ME.  Our lack of representation shows in the way the world is run.  And these men who can neither empathize with us, nor respect us need to be voted out regardless of what party they crawled out of.

It's Congress' job to investigate malfeasance.  The PP investigation was not the beginning of this current BC issue.

Nice try at changing the subject though.

Stephanopolous was simply laying the groundwork for Obama.  And now you are claiming that Republicans are attacking contraception.  Unfortunately your false accusation didn't hold up.  This is where you'd say yeah you're right, but that would take humility, so just shutting up is your next best option.  However I'm sure that you will continue to make yourself look foolish.

All we are doing is defending an attack on religious freedom from the usual suspects.

You miss the point. I won't dignify your guilt comments, they are unworthy, but PP uses the exact same damn probes that they have the audacity to claim would be like raping a women!

This is nothing like rape, even PP says it is minimally invasive, and no harm comes from it. If that is your definition of rape, then we completely disagree.

The GOP simply is looking out for the best interest of women.  Afterall, how can anyone expect that a female is capable of making her on decisions without a man being involved.  After all it is not like women are equal to men.  How can women know what they should think if older white males don't tell them?

Rep Issa knew that women would have nothing to contribute that is why he did not include any on his list of those testifying before his recent investigative panel.  It really does not matter whether the focus was contraception or religious freedom.

And, obviously Sandra Fluke has no business suggesting that her opinion carrys any weight.  What does she think she is a man?

what right does Sandra Fluke or any female have to take offense to the comments of Rush Limbaugh.  Of course any female who gets uppity must be demonized of in this case slutified.

The problem started when females were given the right to own property and then vote.  See where this has brought us. Perhaps if we all rally behind Santorum we can reverse these mistakes.

I think it is pretty obvious that if God wanted females to be equal, "He" would have made them males.

The Pres..99% percent of American women use birth control..seems that if they are using it, they must have easy access to it?

The Pres calls Ms Fluke to apologize for the ignorant comment made by a conservative radio host..yet not one word  by anyone on the left, when  Bill Maher defamed not only Sarah Palin,  but her down syndrome child! Not one left leaning feminist stood up to that assault? It leaves me to believe one of two things. that when you claim to be a Democrat who feels for all the down trodden, that , that only applies to those who vote you in! It has no moral or ethical value, other than self service..which would explain why sex in all its forms is defended by those on the left. And if this is their idea of compassion for all Americans..all will now be able to see how false that claim really is...FOr if you are compassionate about people...that compassion strips you of all your labels..to see the truth ..and the truth is ...hate is hate and demeaning is meaning..and it should be recognized as such..and not dismissed or made to be different because it doesnt support your political cause!

Without the Soul of Christ alive in us...we are nothing but empty shells...
