Ten reasons why AIPAC is so dangerous"1. AIPAC is lobbying Congress to promote a military confrontation with Iran." "2. AIPAC promotes Israeli policies that are in direct opposition to international law." "3. AIPAC's call for unconditional support for the Israeli government threatens our national security." "4. AIPAC undermines American support for democracy movements in the Arab world."
"5. AIPAC makes the U.S. a pariah at the UN. AIPAC describes the UN as a body hostile to the State of Israel and has pressured the U.S. government to oppose resolutions calling Israel to account."
"6. AIPAC attacks politicians who question unconditional support of Israel." "7. AIPAC attempts to silence all criticism of Israel by labeling critics as "anti-Semitic," "de-legitimizers" or "self-hating Jews." "
"8. AIPAC feeds U.S. government officials a distorted view of the Israel/Palestine conflict."
"9. AIPAC lobbies for billions of U.S. taxdollars to go to Israel instead of rebuilding America."
"10. Money to Israel takes funds from world’s poor. Israel has the 24th largest economy in the world, but thanks to AIPAC, it gets more U.S. taxdollars than any other country."

AIPAC is a threat to world peace and a threat to the Middle East and a threat to the future of the United States.
We do not need another war against another Middle East Nation, we need dismantling and complete destruction of AIPAC. I know of no more vile institution in existence. Sherri

A November study by the Pew Forum found that AIPAC spends three times as much as any other religious advocate on political lobbying. Based on the most recently available data of Top Advocacy Expenditures, AIPAC spent $84,899,089; the second highest was the Conference of Catholic Bishops at $26,662,111; the Family Research Council spent $14,259,622; the American Jewish Committee spent $13,362,000; and Concerned Women for America spent $12,556,658. If anyone wants to know what AIPAC really does they can visit the AIPAC website at aipac.org If they go to the website they will learn about: Aipac's mission:
AIPAC’s mission is to strengthen the ties between the United States and its ally Israel. As America’s leading pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC works with Democrats, Republicans and Independents to enact public policy that enhances the U.S.-Israel relationship. AIPAC’s staff and citizen activists educate decision makers about the bonds that unite the United States and Israel and how it is in America’s best interest to help ensure that the Jewish state is safe, strong and secure.
Cooperation between the two countries is advantageous for both nations. AIPAC urges all members of Congress to support Israel through foreign aid, government partnerships, joint anti-terrorism efforts and the promotion of a negotiated two-state solution—a Jewish state of Israel and a demilitarized Palestinian state. and: How Aipac works:
AIPAC empowers pro-Israel activists across all ages, religions and races to be politically engaged and build relationships with members of Congress from both sides of the aisle to promote the U.S.-Israel relationship. The vital work of AIPAC is made possible by its dedicated membership participating in AIPAC’s Clubs, investing with the AIPAC Tomorrow Campaign, and being politically engaged with members of Congress.
More than 100,000 citizens from across the country work with AIPAC staff to strengthen the bonds between the United States and the Jewish state. AIPAC members in all 50 states are encouraged to be politically active and develop relationships with their members of Congress to help educate them about the importance of U.S.-Israel ties.
While building support in Washington is essential, AIPAC is found wherever the future of the U.S.-Israel relationship could be affected. AIPAC has a network of 10 regional offices and seven satellite offices that help pro-Israel activists from Missoula to Miami learn how they can affect Israel's future and security by promoting strong ties with the United States.
Pro-Israel advocacy and strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship is a cause that concerns a broad spectrum of Americans. AIPAC professionals work with Synagogues and Churches to promote pro-Israel advocacy throughout their congregations. African American and Hispanic leaders work with AIPAC staff and their members of Congress to ensure that America supports our ally in the Middle East.
AIPAC also works on hundreds of college and high school campuses, empowering and educating student activists to answer Israel's detractors and how to use political involvement to build support for Israel. As I have mentioned before, I have been a supporter of AIPAC for many years. Sherri's characterization is inaccurate, to say the least.

Sherri AIPAC is not a religious organization nor a religious advocacy group. There are any number of Jewish religious organizations in the USA. AIPAC is not one of them. Just so you know.

The Mossad Has Long Given Marching Orders to AIPAC"AIPAC’s Washington policy conference next month is drawing intense scrutiny and unprecedented resistance. AIPAC has worked quietly for years to tripwire the United States into war with Iran. Soon it will “ask”Congress and the president to define “nuclear weapons capability”as the threshold for war, essentially demanding an immediate attack. Because Iran presents no military threat to the United States, many Americans wonder exactly where such costly and potentially disastrous policies are formulated. Recently declassified FBI files reveal how Israeli government officials first orchestrated public relations and policies through the U.S. lobby. Counter-espionage investigations of proto-AIPAC’s first coordinating meetings with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the head of Mossad provide a timely and useful framework for understanding how AIPAC continues to localize and market Israeli government policies in America." original.antiwar.com/smith-grant/2012/02... I am sure that there are pro-Arab lobbyists busily bribing our legislators. Congress is an equal opportunity influence peddler.
For those who have faith, no explanation is neccessary. For those who have no faith, no explanation is possible.
St. Thomas Aquinas
If one turns his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer is an abomination. Proverbs 28:9

Over 130 Groups Urge Obama to Reject Netanyahu’s Policies about War on Iran and Palestinian Conflict Protests and Events Planned Throughout Weekend Expose AIPAC Lobby as a Barrier to Peace 2/29/12 Washington, DC – The Occupy AIPAC coalition is gathering to urge Obama to reject the Israeli administration’s push for war on Iran and insist on respect for Palestinian rights. Timed to coincide with the annual AIPAC policy conference, the Occupy AIPAC summit will be a long weekend of events and protests that draw attention to the role of AIPAC as a special interest lobby that maintains a stranglehold over US policies. As the Occupy Movement has focused public ire on the role of large corporations and powerful lobby groups, hundreds will gather in DC to protest AIPAC’s push for war. The Occupy AIPAC summit, organized by CODEPINK, is endorsed and supported by a variety of groups including the Interfaith Peace Builders (IFPB), the US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN), Jewish Voice for Peace, Students for Justice in Palestine chapters, Occupy groups and over 130 others. “After 10 years of war, the American people need a foreign policy that focuses on diplomacy, but AIPAC takes us down the dangerous path of war with Iran,” CODEPINK cofounder and Occupy AIPAC organizer Medea Benjamin said. “We are gathering to demand that our leaders break with AIPAC’s disastrous path of attacking Iran, as well as supporting Israel’s human rights violations and illegal settlements in the West Bank.” Schedule of planned actions includes a Middle East Summit on Saturday, March 3 and protests on Sunday, March 4." www.occupyaipac.org/2012/02/ It is time to take the country back from the warmongers, AIPAC is nothing but an organization supporting one war after another and the slaughter of innocent civilians in those wars. No institution more repellant or disgusting or vile exists. How many million must die from wars they push onto the US? Sherri
