Precisely because you have been wrong so often, I just can't take your word for *anything* on the general topic. So I'm sure you'll understand that you need to back up your allegations - if you wish me to take part in the discussion.
If Ms. Friedman of American Peace Now understands now that the goal of Arab nationalists is to erase the Jewish presence from Jerusalem, then why does she cling to the absurd notion of dividing the city and handing over any of it? Intersesting to note that this is not the city she lives in, nor the capital of the country of which she is a citizen. Yet she feels free to negotiate what is not hers.
Her naivite' and cluelessness are her only excuses.
The Arabs of Jerusalem can vote in municipal elections, and many were offered Israeli citizenship.
Jerusalem's Arabs have access to all of Jerusalem's services and receive the social benefits of Israeli citizens. They move about freely. There is no evidence that they would want to lose any of those advantages.
Jerusalem has had a Jewish majority for over 100 years. It was never the capital of any Muslim state.
We have no reason to return to a divided city, where Jews were expelled from their homes and their synagogues and holy sites desecrated. That era is finished.
Jerusalem is the capital of Israel - full stop. There is no reason to hand any of it over to anyone else. Arab residents deserve to enjoy all of its services and live in peace with the rest of us. Nothing less - and nothing more.
Thanks for making it clear one MORE time.
Guess it is OK for Jews to want 100% of Jerusalem but it is a problem IF Arabs even think about it??
Personally I think both communities have valid claims over the city. So a peaceful solution has to have both of them in it.

It doesn't matter what Jews want or what Arabs want or what Russians want. Israel is the capital of Israel, which includes, Jews and non-Jews. End of story.
