You've got to be careful with that civil disobedience you may get the harmless Armwar pepper sprayed!

Your thread may yet have a slight pulse.  I've got you a plate in the oven if not.

In what states are you allowed to own an alligator and take him or her for a walk?

I think I could work that alligator thing into a song...like Jim Croce's...don't step on superman's cape, don't spit in the wind, don't tie your alligator to a fire hydrant, and you don't mess aroung with Jim?

That did suck.  What was the rationale for that?

Checking on that myself, the rationale is a certain price can make anyone whole.

They felt like she was compensated, and one patch of dirt under your house is as good as another, and the good of the community was also satisfied.  I don't agree with it.

I think they should only do it for public use--even a park-- but not private use.

The city eventually agreed to move Susette Kelo's house to a new location and to pay substantial additional compensation to other homeowners. The redeveloper was unable to obtain financing and abandoned the redevelopment project, leaving the land as an empty lot,[2] which was eventually turned into a dump by the city.

So ultimately, it did become public use.

Read the link, and I have to agree with the second comment that was made:

This is what you get when you keep electing Democrats who are bent on controlling every aspect of our lives. They want to control what we eat, where we live, what we drive, where we go, what we do when we get there, where we work, how much we are paid, how long we can work. How much we weigh, games we play, soon they’ll send us a itinerary for each day. We’ve lost our freedom. How do you like Obama now?

Guess you stopped reading beyond that comment.

Just a little bit futhe down from the above comment, someone posted this:

"J Graham
Out here in Iowa, a 100% REPUBLICAN Board of Supervisors passed a 100 page zoning ordinance in a rural county of 20,000 people AFTER receiving 1500 signatures in opposition. It includes language making it illegal to post 2 signs in your yard to sell your house among a lot of other nanny state garbage.

You are probably right about that one...I don't think I will try civil disobedience on it...It does make one wonder about the necessity of the  law, the story behind it!
