Nothing but lies!

Rather than ask questions about matters that are on the public record, Carr prefers to hew to the narrow government line that this is all about consular support for Assange re Sweden and the Americans have no interest in him.


It’s gutless and feeble stuff from a government that has repeatedly shown itself eager to do anything to keep the US happy.

Seeking asylum.

He must be relying on ‘political opinion’ – an extremely broad category, that includes activities, writing and speech, and beliefs that lead to persecution. He made a statement from the Ecuadorean Embassy in London on 20th June 2012 in which he said he was claiming ‘political asylum’.

Sunday 1 July Melbourne rally.

The sustained attacks on #wikileaks and Julian #Assange are symbolic of the tyranny heading our way. The degradation of civil liberties, citizenry rights, free speech, free internet, free assembly and freedom of information are just the beginning. If we do not stand up for Julian's rights now who will ever blow the whistle or publish the war crimes of those who abuse their power?

Ecuadorian political analyst Jorge León anticipated the presidential selections there in February 2013. So giving asylum to Assange there could be €œuseful. It would give Correa a left image€. €œA great part of his base is leftists. €œHe must feed that base€.
