Not that Malawi is a first tier tourist destination, or even a second tier destination - it is way down the list. I suppose any americans there on business could always invoke the "He who smelt it dealt it" defense. That always works around my house. |

1. Ladies and gentlemen never acknowledge the existence of flatulence. The room may be full of pooting and reeking, but nobody makes the slightest allusion to it. 2. If somebody has the bad taste to mention it, blame the cat. |

In my neighborhood, we weren't so proper. We sang: "Beans, beans are good for the heart..." |

"10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more, (insert friend's name here) ripped a fart in the grocery store. Twenty men died, trying to hold their breath. Then (insert friend's name) ripped another one, and killed the rest." |

On a side note, I thought that lighting farts on fire was an urban legend, until a buddy in college gave a live. demonstration of the feat. It then became a favorite "pass"time of ours.

The only one in our household who can give me a run for my money is, believe it or not, my dainty teenage step-daughter.

The whole thing just reminds me of Monty Python. All straight and dry talking about the problem of "fouling the air" and "repeat offenders" I would love to see some video coverage of that. |
