Are our elected officials going to work together to make our great nation even better? Are they going to work together to get us out of two perhaps soon to be three wars? Are they going to work together to prevent hard-working tax-paying citizens from having to bailout large corporations that play reckless with their funds? Are they going to work together to keep Americans in their homes? Are they going to work together to get the economy back up and running so that average American benefit...rather than just the large corporations and their CEO's, etc? Are they going to work together to get average Americans back to work? Just because an individual knows how to yell and scream louder.....that does not indicate that the individual knows what they are talking about. For weeks/months I have heard politicians and candidates speak of cutting the budget. Yet, I have heard few examples of what they would cut....that would make any difference in the budget and/or have any impact on the deficit. Last night Reps Marsha Blackburn and Eric Cantor both talked about cutting spending across the board. Then, it became cutting discretionary spending across the board. But, they would not cut defense. When asked what they would cut....they continued talking about the election results show that the American people are upset because elected officials are not listening. Great....so, are politicians listening when asked: "What would you cut?"? Or, are we headed for two years of gridlock?
Peace!
------ Christian LIES wed Christian HATE......Begot a child....it’s named Prop 8! Supreme Court let it stand.....which means we can vote away the rights of others in our land. Sad as that may be...it hurts all of us.....not just me. |

"Are the Democrats tone deaf?"
Nope. Heard the Rs shouting--"We're the party of NO" loud and clear. Now the rest of the countgry will hear just what obstructionist screw ups Rs are. What a glorious day--Dems released from their burdens and the Rs with targets on their backs. The R chickens are about to come home to roost. May they roast in peace... Hallelujah!!! |

This will, I hope, force the Dems to where they should have been all along, especially the past two years--over to the LEFT.
Democrats think the glass is half full.
Republicans think the glass is theirs. Libertarians want to break the glass, because they think a conspiracy created it. |

I am actually thrilled where it ended up. Close to control of the Senate, but not control. The repubs in the House can hold the line on spending and continually send bills back to the Senate for them to either accept limited or cuts in spending or reject. The American people just rejected big government in a huge HUGE way. Today's presser with "o" will be interesting. I believe he will attempt to throw all responsibility onto the House leadership. He will make no attempt to govern the next two years (he cant govern, he has shown that. He can campaign, but not govern). The House had better send health care repeal, spending cuts weekly to the senate. I fully expect obama to veto everything. The governorships were critical. That will hamsting obama in 2012.

It looks like basic conditioning: win-stay, lose-change. Many Americans feel like a loser, so they change their preferences over and over again. It won't help, though... because America in general IS a loser, in this postmodern world.
