A year ago this story would not have made the national news. Lousiana is one badly run state whose main assets are gas and off-shore oil. Federal regulation there has been a disgrace, but Louisiana favored this.

Now the seafood industry there is in trouble, but this seems to be a minor inconvenience to all whose livelihoods do not depend on this industry.

How many of you have seen the gas and oil pipelines along the river : one of the scariest scenes I've ever observed.

Louisiana is very poor.

PS....................I love New Orleans and its seafood.

How much the oil problems have affected the fishing industry is debateable.

Yesterday was the first officially sanctioned fishing day and the tests seemed to show the fish caught were fine...

So maybe not all is gloom and doom in the LA fishing industry?

The fish may be fine, but I sure wouldn't order any fire grilled.  Might blow up the whole damn restaurant.Surprised

Democrats think the glass is half full.
Republicans think the glass is theirs.
Libertarians want to break the glass, because they think a conspiracy created it.
