What is this passion for teaching a single very specific religious story of creation ins schools and especially in science classes where it is about as appropriate as a pig in a synagogue?  My church, LDS, has very specific religious concepts and finds it very important to teach these to our children.  We have 1-2hours f school each Sunday and then 1 hour of religious instruction each day when they are in HS, done before public school starts here but during breaks in the day in UTAH where we are the majority.  We do not project our religious instruction into the public schools.  Whatever other faults we have we do know where religious teaching belongs.

Where are these religious classes held? If they are held in the public schools, then equal time should be given to all other religions, faiths, beliefs...

+Seminary classes are taught in separate buldings provided by the church and with teachers called by the church.  Such is my understanding.

Oh buddy, I don't know where your from, but in my district they even stopped doing the allegiance to the flag because it mentions GOD.  Its a Miracle they haven't stopped using the dollar!  I don't think that is going to happen, for our taxes went up even higher.  One tax for the state and one for the district.

Which public school district stopped using the pledge altogether?

The more usual case is that individual students can opt out of the pledge. That adjustment comes through the courts in some cases to protect individual student freedom.

I agree with you totally there is a way to teach about the creation as part of class. Some people might have forgotten that God is the reason there is science.Laughing Non-believers just took God out of the equation .

Right on!  The creation of the world by Ahura Mazda should definitely be taught in any well-conducted science class.
