"Americans United for Separation of Church and State today praised a federal appeals court decision barring Bible distribution in a Missouri public school district.

The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the South Iron R-1 School District may not allow distribution of Bibles to children in elementary school."

Nice to see you too, AS

Don't you mean the Republic of Texas? Wasn't Governor Perry going to secede from the US over the stimulus package?

Oh, yeah, that was before he needed the money to repair the governor's mansion.

I guess the nation's highest emitter of greenhouse gasses is still in the union.

Praise from a dedicated Mormon for the court's wise decision.  Public schools are NOT the forum to teach religion, that is what church's are for.  I don't want Bibles or Books of Mormon or any other religous text passed out to elementary students in the PUBLIC schools!  If they want to read them let buy them themselves or contact the appropriate church.  I am sure they can get free copies of whatever sacred writings they seek.
