My opinion:


Women should be able to wear what they want, a burqa or bikini. The State shouldn't intervene.


I think it's just Sarkozy's way of playing up to the French electorate by highlighting the "Muslim problem" when less than a few percent of Muslim women wear the burqa.


Sad day for France.

And if not, why not?


Why is it ok for the state to to say how little you may wear but not how much?

Yes, if people want to be nude, it's their choice, in societies such as India, many gurus walks around nude.


It seems like it's a Judeo-Christian value that nudity is obscene, yet so called secular societies adhere to Judeo-Christian values.
